We are a global brand manufacturer of riding equipment characterized by outstanding design and innovative technology. Our family-owned business is being led by the 5th generation and is operating for nearly 130 years.
We enjoy the highest reputation worldwide and our equipment is used by Olympic athletes as well as leisure riders. While the core products are made of leather, such as saddles, bridles, reins and girths, the portfolio has been extended over the years.
A great success has been the expansion of our product portfolio with the foundation of Stübben STEELtec in 2010. Since the beginning Stübben STEELtec is well known for its highly technical solutions in bits, spurs and stirrups. While being very competitive in pricing, the quality of our products is second to none.
Our mission is developing products that help both, horse and rider in their daily work and during competition.
Your job
- As product manager you are globally responsible for the development our Stübben STEELtec sales.
- You lead our global sales team, serve as sparring partner and develop effective sales strategies. You are personally serving the most important key account customers.
- You train and develop the sales team to grow sales and achieve high customer satisfaction.
- You are responsible to develop the product roadmap for the STEELtec portfolio in alignment with the management and R&D team.
- You collect and validate product insights. Your direct contact with key customers helps to set the right specs and direct R&D, thinking beyond the product.
- Build and maintain product leadership for Stübben STEELtec, including continuous scouting for trends, competition and technology (e.g. norms and regulations, approval for horse shows, etc.).
- You develop and maintain a competitive and profitable product portfolio over its lifecycle (incl. phase-out).
- Secure consistent, accurate and up to date product content and data on and offline, closely working with R&D and Marketing.
Your skills
- Min. 3 years of professional experience in (Strategic) Product Management
- Min. 2 years of experience from Sales
- Min. 5 years of experience in the horse industry, ideally on international level
- Successfully completed studies or a comparable qualification
- Ability to work strategically with a strong focus on execution
- Strong analytical skillset
- Proficient understanding and knowledge of commercial/marketing requirements
- Strong team player in cross-functional environment, incl. conflict resolution skills
- Excellent intercultural competencies
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Fluent in German and English, French is a plus
