Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A male was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was carried out by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: “It is important that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.
