Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A male was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was carried out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: "It is important that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.

"These kinds of products being sold, normally online, have actually undergone no quality assurance and there can be no about their safety.
