Collection and storage of personal data as well as the nature and purpose of their use

When visiting the website
Whenever a customer (or other visitor) accesses our website, information is automatically transmitted by the internet browser used on your device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) to our website server. This information is temporarily stored in a log file. The following data is collected automatically and stored until it is deleted automatically: IP address of the requesting device as well as device ID or individual device identifier and device type; name of the retrieved file and amount of data transferred as well as date and time of access; notification of successful retrieval; requesting domain; description of the type of internet browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your device as well as the name of your access provider; browser history data and standard weblog information.

Our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in collecting this data is based on the following purposes: ensuring a smooth connection setup and comfortable use of the website; evaluating system security and stability as well as for further administrative purposes. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data to draw conclusions about your identity.

When using our contact form
If you have any questions, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on the website. Providing your name and a valid email address is required so that we know who the inquiry is from and can respond to it. Additional information can be provided voluntarily. Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR based on your voluntarily given consent. The personal data collected for using the contact form will be automatically deleted after your request has been processed.

Registration in the applicant database
Our website contains a form provided by Smartsheet Inc., 10500 NE 8th St, Suite 1300, Bellevue, WA 98004-4357, USA, through which you can register in an applicant database. During registration, the following data is collected: personal identification data such as first and last name; contact details such as email address and telephone number (optional); highest school qualification; training or studies and current education status; desired job sector and field; professional experience; driver’s license; desired work location; desired contract type; desired working hours; desired salary; desired number of vacation days; willingness to work weekends; willingness to travel nationally and internationally; possible starting date; link to XING and LinkedIn profiles; and further personal data that we are legally obliged or entitled to collect and process and that we require for authentication, identification or verification purposes.

The entered data is compared to determine whether the data provided by potential employees matches, to a certain degree, the company data and the search request submitted by employers. If there is a match of more than 70%, potential employees are contacted by EquiJob and informed about the respective company and job search. If potential employees give their consent, the data they provided will be disclosed to the respective company.

The data is processed to manage the user relationship pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data can be deleted at any time by sending a message to info@equijob.de. Disclosure of data to the employer is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR based on your voluntary consent.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Smartsheet Inc. to meet European legal requirements. Depending on your location, your data may also be transferred to the United States. There is currently an adequacy decision between the EU and the USA confirming an adequate level of protection for organizations certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Additional data processing agreements, including Standard Contractual Clauses, are also concluded. We have no knowledge of or influence over the possible collection and use of your data by Smartsheet Inc. When entering into a contractual relationship
When concluding a contractual relationship on our website (e.g. registration or purchasing advertising packages), we collect personal identification data such as username and email address; company identification data such as company name, address, contact person, communication details (email address, phone number), VAT ID; and further personal data that we are legally obliged or entitled to collect for authentication, identification or verification purposes. Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data storage is limited to the purpose of the contract and any statutory or contractual retention obligations.

WhatsApp newsletter registration
To subscribe to our WhatsApp newsletter, you can send a WhatsApp message with the word “Start” to +49 (0)1520 8643604. We will then use your phone number to send you our newsletter regularly via WhatsApp. WhatsApp processes the provided data independently and may share it with Meta companies to improve the security and integrity of its services. Sending the “Start” message constitutes consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Depending on your location, data is stored either in the European Union or the USA. Disclosure of personal data
Your data will only be disclosed to third parties if you have given explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; if disclosure is necessary for the performance of a contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; if there is a legal obligation pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; or if disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and no overriding legitimate interest exists. In all cases, disclosure is limited to the minimum necessary.

Rights of data subjects
You have the right to request information about whether and which personal data concerning you is stored (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (“right to be forgotten”, Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR), and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Data retention period
Data is stored only as long as necessary for contractual purposes or until you exercise your right to deletion or data transfer, unless statutory retention periods require longer storage.
